Wedding card

Hi there,

Since my sisters stepdaughter was married this past weekend, I can now show you my card to the happy couple (made a long time ago).

The motive is Wedding Couple from AuroraWings, a wonderful image for a wedding card.

The card background is light grey cardstock and the image is mounted on bordeaux cardstock.

In order to make a very romantic Card, I chose to colour the dress with my RV10 copic. I like very much how that turned out. The groom got a matching tie. Oh, and I believe I did colour his pocket bouquet before I sent the card to my sister a while back.

I added a couple of shimmering Hearts to the upper right corner to balance the image.

But way before that, actually last summer, I was asked to make the Wedding Invitations in parchment paper. 21 pcs. of them.

I was so happy that I had such a long time to make them, because it was quite a lot of work and making so many cards with the same motive can be b....., so regular breaks are needed. At least I have to have them. Here they all are, and below is a closer look at one of the cards.

The roses are coloured with my Pergamano pencils red and a slight touch of blue in wet technique.
I added a couple of small drops of Pontura paint, Crystal Clear, as waterdrops on the roses.
The leaves are coloured with light and dark green Pintura paint.
The centre of the White flowers are Pintura ocre and the white flowers are simply embossed.
The frame, the heart and the text are traced with my Pergamano gold pen.
The two 3D Hearts are made on my grid no. 8 and glued on with Perga Glue.
A set of sticker gold rings were added on request of the Bride.

In order to make the roses stand out properly, I used a suitable pink insert paper.

Here is a closer look of the card.

I hope you liked, what I have shown you today. That's all for now.

Be happy crafting!
