Kind of belated New Years resolution

Hi there!

Today the challenge over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society challenge blog is Anything Goes – Option: Add 3 of something.

I call it kind of a New Years resolution, but am not quite sure that it is, Anyway, I don't do New Year resolutions myself.

For my card I used Sherri Ann Baldy “Always believe angel”. You can find it by clicking the image title.

The sentiment below the Always Believe Angel is a great one, and it reminds me, that hopefully something wonderful is about to happen to me, and it did!

I’m going for a job interview tomorrow and this position is really something. I’ve been doing it all my work life, and I love it. I will tell you more about it, if I get the job, but if this doesn’t come true then next Monday, February 1st, I’ll be going back to school to take a 19 week class within economics and ending up with an exam to put on my CV. I cannot say how much I’m looking forward to it.

So never forget, wonderful things do happen!!

I used the following Copic markers for the project:

Skin: E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 and E04
Hair: E47, E15 and YR23
Eyes: YG63, YG03 and YG00
Wings: shaded with C2
Blouse: BG23 and BG10

For once an image that didn’t take tons of colours J

A while ago I was in one of the local supermarkets and I found some glitter tape in silver and copper. I’ve used the silver tape to put her into a little frame and onto blue card. I have some glitter paper in different colours, and luckily one of the blue ones matched the blue card to perfection. This was again layered on teal and blue backgrounds.

To follow the theme of the challenge, I added 3 gems to 3 corners and on the last corner I stuck 3 star pins behind the tilted image.

I hope you like my card. Feel free to leave a message to let me know. Please join my blog if you would like to see my projects on a regular basis.

A 1st Birthday

Hi there,

On Thurday my nephews youngest daughter, Luna, will be 1 year old. Yesterday I was invited to celebrate the first birthday party in her life.

Of course she should have a card from me even though she's still too young to know about it and be interested in it, but maybe that'll come later, and perhaps then she'll think it's fun to have such cards from her dads aunt.

I've had the image coloured up for quite a while now, but have been unable to find a suitable background or some nice embellishments, that would go with it. When I told my friend, Maryann, what kind of idea I had with this image, she told me that she was sure she had something I could use for it. I was thrilled when I saw it, because that was exactly, what I was looking for when I was unable to get hold of a circus background.

I had to crop the background so I got as much as possible of the carousel on the card.

The image is PAYASA by Alicia Bell. Alicia has some awesome images for all occassions, and I love colouring them.

On this card I also added the number 1 to signify the occassion for which Luna got the card.

I hope you like my card. Feel free to leave a message to let me know. Please join my blog if you would like to see my projects on a regular basis.

Don't forget to brush

Hi there!

Today there is a reminder challenge at the Scrapbook Stamp Society challenge blog and it’s my first project here in 2016.

For it I’ve used Sherri Ann Baldy “IMG123”. You can find it by clicking the image title.

I saw this image in the shop a couple of days after a visit to my dentist, and thought it would be a fun project to make. And I did have fun finding all the different things I wanted to put on the card and which colours to use as well.

Because it was in December I coloured her I think I gave her my favourite Christmas colours, which are red, green and gold (on the toothpaste), but she could be done in all sorts of colours. AND the sentiment says it all and can be used every day round the year, so I think it’s ok with this colour scheme.

I used the following Copic markers for the project:

Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 and E04
Eyes: E18, E15 and E13
Hair: E18, E35 and E95
Tooth brush: E04 and RV11
Toothpaste: E04, RV11 and Promarker gold
Dress: R59, R27 and R32
All bows: G29, G17 and YG00
Slippers: R20, C5, C3 and C1
Candy canes: R27 Background: YG17
Lollipops: E35, YG03, RV55 and BG23
Candy pieces: RV55, E35, YG23 and Y11

The candy cane background is an image from a Christmas colouring book I have. I printed it in A6 size and trimmed the paper.
All the candy and the lollipops are from Opal Manor – my go to place for various embellishments on my cards.
The sentiment I made myself.

I hope you like my card. Feel free to leave a message to let me know. Please join my blog if you would like to see my projects on a regular basis.

Mindful me no. 2

Hi there,

Yesterday I shared my Mindful Me no. 2 on Facebook in the Kit and Clowder group and on my wall. I put the first and the second image side by side on Facebook, so they could be seen as I'd like to hang them on a wall.

The response has been so overwhelming and I'm over the moon today. I'm so grateful for every comment I've got, they are all so positive and supportive and they really uplifted my spirit.
Image no. 1 is in the post before this one.

Here comes image no. 2:

I'm going to repete my text here, because it explains my intention with the opposite image.

""
YEAH! I did it! Made my opposite Mindful Me project.
In this post I will give myself permission (get that?) to show both my first and my second project. There's a reason for that.
As you can see, the image of the Painter is opposite in no. 2 and so are all the messages in this picture. Colour wise there's also symbolism. The green colours are all the positive things that I give myself permission to do, and the red colours are the danger colours that I do not give myself permission to do.
I've put a lot of thought into these pictures and I'm really proud of them. I did have some issues with the red picture, but I think I solved them nicely. What the issues were, are between Alyce and me LOL.
""
and here they are together:

I hope they can inspire you to make your own Mindful Me projects. It was so much fun Please read the first post too, where you'll find info about the project in general.
Have fun crafting!

Mindful me

Hi there,

As promised on Facebook yesterday I'm going to show you my Mindful Me project.

It is a free Art Therapy class for members of the Kit and Clowder Facebook group which Alyce Keegan kindly gave us on December 24th 2015 as a Christmas present.

To me this is the project that I'm most proud of having completed and my head is spinning with ideas to new Mindful Me projects. All I have to do is write more texts and also find other suitable images, however my no. 2 project will be with the same motive, but you'll see why, when it's done. Only few days ago I told Alyce that Mixed Media is not my thing - now how about that LOL.

I was really hesitant going into this project, because I've never made anything like this before, and had no idea, how to go about it. Alyce was kind enough to give me some pointers and then I threw myself into it. All I knew from the beginning was that my favourite colour - green - should be used. And even though there is a lot of green in it, I think it's well balanced with blue, turquoise and yellow. Don't you?

The image used is "Painter" by Yampuff. It's a gorgeous image and Alyce made a video to follow, how to colour her and you are always free to use your own colour choice.

My picture (yes, it IS a picture) is a 20 x 20 cm canvass, so you can imagine that the image itself is rather big compared to my usual cards, and I think it should be for such a project.

I used my Pergamano inks as background on the canvas and they dried in about ½ hour, so I could move on rather quickly. I wanted to use my Pintura paints (acryllic) - also from Pergamano, but they were much too thin for this, hence the big black flower. So I had to change to some acryllic paint I had from years back, when my youngest niece and nephew visited and I'd bought it for them to use. As you can see on the little blue flower, that was much better, so I coloured over the black flower with blue paint. BUT as you can see in my texts, I now have permission to make mistakes, so that is ok LOL.

I felt there had to be a little bit of glitter on the picture too, so I put on a green glittering die cut butterfly. Oh, and the purpose of the blue and green glittering feathers that she's standing on, are symbols of splashing paint.

Most of the texts are from the class because they suit the purpose of my project.

I hope you like my Mindful Me project. Feel free to leave a message to let me know. Please join my blog if you would like to see my projects on a regular basis.

Happy New Year - Should auld acquintance be forgot....

Hi there,

First of all I want to wish all my readers a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016 – hope that wasn’t too loud, if you’re still hung over from last night LOL.

I'm happy to see that my group of readers/followers is slowly increasing month by month.

Today there’s a new challenge starting on the WWODT challenge blog. The theme is “Anything goes” and for my project I’ve used Sherri Ann Baldy IMG521 "Best besties forever". You can find it by clicking the image title.

Very appropriate here around New Year where we think of friends near and far. This digi stamp is SO cute and that is probably how many people wished each other a Happy New Year last night – with a big hug.

I had so much fun coloring this image - I know, I know, I say that every time I post a project in here, but I really am having much fun colouring and putting things together, so please, bear with me.

This is one of the few times I’ve used very alternative hair colours, but I think it came out very nicely.  I used the following Copic markers for the project:

Girl with green hair:
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 and E04
Hair: YG63, YG03 and YG11
Eyes: E18, E15 and YR23
Trousers: E18, E15, E11, E21 and R27 for the heart
Blouse and hairband: YR18, YR14 and Y17
Flowers: Y17, R27 and R32 Leaves: YG63
Boots: C7, C5, C3. C2 and C0

Girl with purple hair:
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 and E04
Hair: BV13, V04 and BV31
Blouse: E59, E27 and E32
Trousers: B99, B97, B95 and B91 Patch and dots: R27
Boots: C7, C5, C3. C2 and C0

I wanted to keep this project clean and simple because it’s very busy colour wise, so the only embellishments I’ve used are gems in green and purple, so they match the hair colours.

The “Best Friend” sentiment is a rub on I found in a small book with rub ons in a craft store.

I hope you like my card. Feel free to leave a message to let me know. Please join my blog if you would like to see my projects on a regular basis.
