New winnings!

Hi there!

Over the at Lacy Sunshine FB Group there sometimes is a challenge called "Saturday Selfie". We upload a selfie where we're holding a project with a Lacy Sunshine image.

I took my first selfie on Saturday just on the spur of the moment because I saw somebody else had done it. My first ever selfie.

Much to my surprise I found out last night that I had won the challenge and was awarded 2 Lacy Sunshine digis of my choise free of charge.

I'm now waiting to receive them, so while waiting I'll upload my Card for you to see and tell a bit about it.

For this project i used "Reggie lets BBQ". He's such a fun character and I loved colouring him. I used a background from La La Land with the clouds and the wall, and the cola bottles are from Anjis Antics. And I also added a homemade sentiment.

Since the background with the wall is not big enough to fill out the project, I added som die cut grass, so it looks like he's half on grass and half on a terrasse.

I'll definitely make this image more times. It'll be awesome to bring as a small gift for BBQ's when you're invited.

I hope you like my project too. Please leave a comment in here or join my blog.

Summer has come!

Hi There,

Summer has come to Denmark now!

The sun is shining from a clear blue sky, and it's nice warm outside, so I've done a bit of gardening today. Unfortunately I cannot do much - about 30 - 45 minutes - i.e. a small corner of the terrasse, which is soooo neglegted (as is the whole garden), but that's what happens, when you have a really weak back.

At least now I can get out onto the terrasse HAHA, and hopefully the nice weather will keep for some days, so I can take a bit more every day.

Since this weather reminds me of summer (including swimming etc.) I've decided to show you this card using Lizzie from Whimsy Stamps.

I loved colouring this digi, but I did go a bit wild with the colours on it, I think. But it was fun to put together for you.

The sand is actually sand paper, what is better than that to use? The water is dark blue copy paper and the sky is a piece of paper, that I've used for background when distressing. It suddenly dawned on me that it looked like clouds, so I cut it to size and left out other colours I've used for distressing.

I've used a circle punch for the yellow sun.  Ane I've used a famous line from a Gershwin song as the sentiment.

I'm going to put it in the FB Group Promarkers Pyssel as a summer project. I don't think there's a competition, but it's fun just to participate in this Swedish Group too, where I've been allowed to be a member.

I hope you like her, and if you do, please send me a comment below. You may also feel free to follow my blog. I'd be most honored if you do.

That's all from me for now.

The first spiderwort sprite

Hi there,

Today I'll show you the first Spiderwort Sprite I've finished and put on a Card. I've made a few more of them, but there are not on Cards yet.

I love this Little sprite - well, I love all the sprites and have acquired a few by now. They are gorgeous and super cute images from Aurora Wings https://www.etsy.com/shop/AuroraWings.

I particularly like the spiderwort sprite because I have the flower in my garden in all three colours: pink, blue and White.

I know that I should have coloured her hair in green, but thought I'd have a go at "normal" hair colour first (no, to be honest, I'd coloured the hair on her forehead first and then there was no way back LOL). Did exactly the same with the next I couloured, but the third time, I finally got it right. You'll probably see that another time.

There's not much embellishment on this Card, a few homemade sentiments and the Pearls in the corners. I thought that when a lot goes on on the backing paper, the rest of the Card didn't need anything. The backing paper is from a paper pad I bought in Belgium a couple of years ago, when I went to a Pergamano exhibition. Should have bought some more in hindsight :-).

Anyway, I'm going to enter her into the June challenge at Kit and Clowder (theme pink) and the June Challenge in the AuroraWings FB Group.

I hope you like her. Please leave a comment below if you do.

2 projects for Luna's Christening

Hi there,

On Sunday May 31st the youngest member of my Family (my nephews youngest daughter) was Christened, Luna. A wonderful name for a wonderful baby :-).

For this occassion I made a couple of Projects.

The first project I'll show you is the Card I first made for the Christening. The image I've used here is a Bestie from Sherry-Ann Baldy of a baby girl sitting on a moon. I thought this was very appropriate, since the name, Luna, means moon.

I coloured the image with my Caran D'ache pencils (dry technique) and tried to apply what I've learned during my Clothes Class at Kit an Clowder regarding cast shadows.

I added a few homemade roses in the colours used, and some stars (moon and stars belong together in my eyes) and some baby embellishments as well of which some were die cuts and others were brads, and to finish the project I added a charm of a rocking horse and hanged it from the stars. My message to Luna was written on the back of the project and here I added another cute Little image from Opal Manor of a sleeping baby girl. And of course I forgot to take a Photo of that one (mistake no. 1).

I made the envelope myself and also added a cute image here from Scrappers Delights (Fruity Babies Peaches) and also forgot to take a Photo of this one (mistake no. 2).

When my nephews eldest daughter was born almost 3½ years ago, I made a star book for her with some baby Photos of her, and I kind of thought that Luna's Card didn't match what I made for her big sister, so I decided to make one more project for her.

As a base for this project I used the baby onsie pattern in a recent Parchment Craft Magazine which was designed by Mary Kerr. And for this I used Photos of Luna, that her parents had shown on Facebook.  I added some lace borders around arms and legs. I had problems making it in parchment, so decided to go for Card board instead. That turned out very nice, but guess what!! I forgot to take a Photo of it (mistake no. 3).

The second project I'll show you today is a card I made for my niece (the Godmother of the girl) to give on this special day. This is an image from Precious Moments of a baby laying on a blanket

reaching out for a die cut butterfly I added. I also added the flags to celebrate the day and a sentiment from SimplyBStamps, on which I put some glitter (very popular with Luna's big sister). The sentiment is very suitable for a Godmother too, as it says "Wishing you Peace and Good Fortune", and who doesn't want that for a baby.

I hope that you like these Cards.
