Woohoo, my first DT project !!

Hi there,

I’m so excited to tell you  that I've been asked to join a design team, so as of today I’m a DT member in the Scrapbook Stamp Society Facebook group, and I’m going to show you my very first project for the group.

The project is a bookmark and I’ve used a very cute summer image from Sherri Ann Baldy for it. It is called IMG662 and you can find it by clicking on the name.

I have used the following Copic markers for the project:

Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 and E04
Hair: E18, E15 and YR61
Eyes: B18, B14 and B12
Shirt + Bow: R27, R32 and R22
Trousers: B18, B16, B14 and B12
Ice cubes: B32 and B91
Drink: Y000
Lime Fruit: G94, YG17, YG11, YG00 and W3
Leaves: YG67, YG63 and YG03
Palm tree: E15, E13, G94, YG17, YG11 and YG03

My imagination told me, that she could be either on a beach or in the desert, so I ripped a piece of sand paper to fit the bottom of the card. I then printed and coloured a free digi palm tree I had downloaded from Opal Manor and used that as the background.

But I still thought something was missing and suddenly it dawned on me that maybe a straw would do the trick, and I think it did, don’t you?

I hope you like my first project. Feel free to leave a message to let me know.

An old Bestie.

Hi there,

It's time to show you another of my "old" projects, which has been shown earlier in a Facebook group.

This is a cute Bestie and was used for a January release challenge (if I remember correctly) in Krafting Kimmie Stamps FB group. There were various challenges in which sketches should be used, and I think this was the first time ever, I used a sketch, so please bear with me.

From what I can judge I coloured her very early in my colouring adventure, when I used Promarkers instead of Copics.

I find that Promarker alcohol markers are very "wet" when colouring, and they bleed more than Copics, so I switched to Copics and have now much more control of the colouring. I intend to put the Promarkers up for sale, when I have enough Copics to manage with those only.

I love the pink and green colours together. When I colour, I find that I use combinations that I would never have used earlier, and that there are sooo many nuances to each colour. It's a whole new world to me. I'm also getting bolder in my choice of colours, which I like.

Colours are something I've not spent many hours on before. I've always been very classic in colour choice and only once in a while stepped outside the box so to speak, so it's very liberating at least to use lots of colours in my cards.

I hope you like her, even though she's kind of an old lady by now LOL.

Fairy Godmother

Hi There,

Today I'm going to show you the image "Fairy Godmother" from Fairy Ink, that I entered into the July Challenge - Pop of Colour on the Fairy Ink FB page.

I had to use greyscale colours + one colour more, so I chose yellow.

The yellow backing paper is actually the same colour as the star, but it doesn't come though in the photo. I used one of my pattern scissors for a nice effect.

I printed a sentiment from Karleigh Sue Stamps and mounted it on black and yellow cardboard, and put on a few of my melted Hama-pearls as embellishment.

She was a fun project to make and I enjoyed it very much. I hope you like her too.

It's a small post today, as I have visitors all weekend, so just wanted to pop her in, before I get busy preparing food and cleaning the house.

OMG, the day after I posted this card, I found out that it had won me 3 digis in the July Challenge, How lucky was I??

My summer holiday is over

Hi there,

Today is the last day of my summer holiday 2015. It went so fast again this year.

I did some colouring, not much, as I've other things on my mind at the moment, and kind of lost my colouring mojo in the beginning of July. Hopefully it'll come back soon.

I'm happy though, that I have some projects shown in various FB groups earlier, so I can keep my blog going during this period.

The project I'm showing you today is a project I made for a challenge in the Swedish FB group Promarkers Pyssel, that the owner of the group kindly allowed me to join.

The girl image is sponsored for the challenge by SimplyBStamps and the background and accessories are from Mo Manning. I merged everything onto the card. I love this chubby little girl eating a huge ice cone.

As extra accessories I used some die cuts of shells, which I distressed.

I hope you like this cute project as much as I do.
