Soon it's Christmas

Hi there!

Today there is a Christmas Reminder challenge at the Scrapbook Stamp Society challenge blog and it’s my last project in 2015.

For it I’ve used Sherri Ann Baldy “Gifts for you”. You can find it by clicking the image title.

I waited using this image till the reminder challenge, because now is the time, we begin our holiday season and bring presents to our loved ones,

I really loved colouring her, and I used the following Copic markers for the project:

Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 and E04
Eyes, Scarf, Socks and Trousers: B18, B24, B32 and Y17
Hair: E18, E15 and E43
Hairband and Gloves: R59, R27 and R32
Coat: BG09, BG49, BG13 and BG000
Hearts: R27
Shoes: W9, W5 and W3
Gift 1: YR18, YR14, R27 and R32
Gift 2: YG67, YG63, Y17 and Y21
Gift 3: V09, V06 and YR18
Gift 4: C5, C3 and R27
Ground: C3

As background I’ve layered blue and teal cardstock. I’ve used a border die with snowflakes, some snowflake brads and added teal pears in suitable sizes on them. I’ve added a wooden gift as well, which I got from a friend.  To finish the project I used a free Christmas sentiment from Cuddly Buddy.

I hope you like my card. Feel free to leave a message to let me know. Please join my blog if you would like to see my projects on a regular basis.

This past year has gone by sooo quickly I cannot understand it. I’ve only been colouring and making this kind of cards for about 16 months now, and what a huge impact it has had on my life since then. I’m much happier when I sit and colour in the evenings in front of the TV.
I thank all of you for reading my blog and commenting on my cards, it means the world to me.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you back here in 2016.

I will enter this card into the following challenges:

Addie the Acrobat

Hi there,

I just wanted to pop in and show you a cute and fun card I made the other evening. Maybe you've already seen it on FB, but it's so cute it might be worth another look.

The image is Addie the Acrobat from Whimsy Stamps, and I've had her since late last Christmas I think.

Isn't she adorable hanging there from her candy canes?

I was also great practice on colouring pleats and it was fun to see, how far I could make them go. There's still room for improvement, but that'll come with more practice.

I added a couple of die cut pine branches and a red bow that was on a chocolate snowman I bought one day (yeah, I love chocolate, but rarely buy it, but the snowman was so adorable, I just couldn't help myself to two of him, so I still have one bow :-))

The sentiment is from Polka Doodles, it comes in all white, so I coloured it to match the background.

I hope you like her.

Be happy crafting.

I will enter her into these challenges:

Oh Christmas Tree

Hi there!

Today we have a new challenge over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society challenge blog. This time the theme is Christmas.

For my project I’ve used Sherri Ann Baldy IMG478 Oh Christmas Tree. You can find it by clicking the image title.

I love all the different Bestie Christmas stamps I have and it’s always hard to pick which one to colour. But I chose Oh Christmas Tree because just about now, it’s tradition to go out and chop your own Chrismas tree down. Then you get some hot chocolate/coffee and maybe a cookie or two when you are back home in a warm house.

I kept the whole project more or less in green and purple colours, and I used the following Copic markers for the project:
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 and E04
Eyes: E18, E15 and E13
Hair: E15, E13 and YR23
Hat and coat: YG63, YG17, YG11, E18, R27, V09, V06 and V04

Flower:  R27 and R32

Scarf, glove and trousers: V09, V06, V04 and V01

Boots: W9, W7 and W5

Shadows: C5 and C3

Tree: E18, E15 and G17

Stars and baubles: YR23, R27, R59, W3 and W9
Flower Pot: E04 and R32
As embellishments on this card, I’ve used a holly die and put a few small red pearls on as berries.  I’ve also used some Christmas tree dies in different sizes and put on. And I also put on a moose (first thought it was a reindeer, but it looks more like a moose, I think) I received from a friend.

Finally the sentiment, which is a free one from Birds Cards.

I hope you like my card. Feel free to leave a message to let me know. Please join my blog if you would like to see my projects on a regular basis.

WWODT challenge project

Hi there!

Today I’m showing my DT project in the World Wide Open Design Team challenge blog. I was very honored to be asked to join this creative group. The theme is “Anything goes”.

For my project I’ve used Sherri Ann Baldy IMG486. You can find it by clicking the image title.

This digi stamp is adorable. He looks so exited sitting there with candy in his and a present on the side waiting for permission to open it.

I loooove the red and greens colours of Christmas. All other colours are fine to use too, but in my world you cannot get around the red and greens LOL. I used the following Copic markers for the project:

Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 and E04
Eyes: YG67, YG63 and YG00
Hair: E47 and E43
Hat and trousers: G17, YG17 and YG11
Hairband, blouse and socks: R59, R29, R27 and R22
Stribes on candy: R27
Bows on present and candy: V09, V06 and V04
Present: B16, B14 and B00

As embellishments on the card, I’ve used a poinsettia die and a swirl die. I used part of a sheet of cardstock with Merry Christmas greetings in different fonts/sizes and in red and green. I added a red heart with red glitter (which really made my kitchen table sparkle LOL) and added a few red pearls as well.

I hope you like my card. Feel free to leave a message to let me know. Please join my blog if you would like to see my projects on a regular basis.
